Sections are part of the Public Land Survey System as a way of subdividing and describing land in the United States. The rectangular system of surveys is regulated by BLM. This polygon layer was first developed from Yavapai County data in 1995 as an ArcInfo coverage and shapefile. The existing feature class was created from the shapefile. The grid numbers were created for use on maps, in mapbooks and to break-up large datasets like contours and the aerial.Projection: Arizona State Plane, International Feet, Zone 3176, NAD83. |
